For the Lazio wine tour will pick you up from your accommodation to take us to the beautiful and peaceful Roman countryside, untouched by tourists, about an hour southeast of the Rome.
Here we will visit two small family vineyards where they cultivate some of the autochthonous grape varieties from Lazio, specifically the red Cesanese grape. We will have a stroll around the vineyards and wineries to get an impression of the whole wine making process from vine to wine, including, of course, a nice wine tasting of their different labels at the end. This tasting includes a nonsense, ready to use lesson in wine tasting technique.
During the visits we'll have a light lunch paired with local wines with the great products from Roscioli Deli with an amazing view of the surrounding hills. It is a lovely contrasting escape, from the high speed chaos of the city to sipping on a few glasses of wine in the tranquil countryside whilst learning all about wine.

Duration: 5.5 hours plus travel time
Our chauffeured luxury vehicle will pick you up from your centrally located hotel between 7:30am and 8am; Return to Rome will be around 4pm. If you are staying outside the center of Rome then we will email you 48 hours prior with specific meeting point instructions. Each way is about an hour and 15 minute drive, this makes it a total of almost 2.5 hours on the road. We will be in the area of Olevano Romano from 9:30am-3pm.
